Flash drive that needed to be recovered had a broken connector with ripped out pads. Donor flash drive that was supplied, to our surprise, was not working either. Both flash drives showed that so work attempts were made. At first, we wanted to swap NAND and controller over to the donor printed circuit board, and swap donor components to the patient PCB (+repair the connector), but the donor turned out to have a completely dead controller chip that would not even drop into the safe mode when NAND from the donor is removed.
