JDRC JD-22S GPS Drone Flight Test Review
This folding GPS camera drone includes a very nice carrying case. Find it here http://bit.ly/JD-22S Pros - Folding GPS drone with carrying case for easy portability. - GPS drone with automatic return to home capability on command, loss of control signal, and low battery warning. - Records QHD (2560 x 1440p) resolution video directly to an onboard microSD card. Also records 4K (4096 x 2160p) resolution directly to your phone via 802.11ac WiFi. - Up to 250 meters FPV range via 802.11ac WiFi (I got about 200 meters in my flight). - "Eachine GPS" app provides follow me, circle position and waypoint capability. - 7.4V 1200mah battery advertised at up to 16 minutes flight time (I got close to 9 minutes in my flight). Cons - Requires 802.11ac WiFi to use the app to fly FPV and use advanced flight features. Not everyone has such WiFi on their phone. Before purchasing, it is VERY important to first verify that your phone is indeed 802.11ac WiFi capable. Just Google your phone model name and the term 802.11 to find your phone's WiFi specifications. See if 802.11ac shows up in the search results. - Camera's SD card recorded QHD video quality appears to be interpolated from a much lower image sensor than QHD, or even 1080p. 4K video recorded to your phone requires newer phones with fast processor capability in order to conduct interpolation to 4K resolution. - I could not get waypoints to work with the app. Affiliate links: At no cost to you, I do receive a small commission for sales resulting from these links.
