One of the heads started to degrade and quickly after the drive became irresponsive. The hard drive just stopped getting recognized, and the owner contacted us for help. After the initial inspection, we've determined that in order to obtain a complete recovery this drive will need a head replacement. First, we imaged all good heads in the drive and then the head swap took place. After replacing the head assembly and performing the transfer of adaptive information the drive was able to read the remaining part that used to belong to the degraded head.
