We got this unit sent to us from the Dominican Republic after it visited another data recovery company. We were not told the reason why data was not recovered on the first attempt. After inspecting the unit, we were able to find one failed pmic. However, swapping just that component over from the donor to the patient solid-state drive did not bring it back to life. Data was still not accessible. It was getting late, and after sinking over an hour of troubleshooting, we opted for a more invasive but trusted route of swapping out NANDs to the donor.
