Global Drone GW90 GPS Brushless Folding Camera Drone Flight Test Review
This is a nicely constructed drone with very good range provided by its controller. Find it here https://bit.ly/GW90-Drone Pros - Highly portable folding drone with carrying case - Brushless motors - Very nicely constructed. Feels like a quality built drone. Controller has an authentic antenna that provides excellent control range of up to 1000 meters. I flew it past 700 meters before I brought it back early. I wanted to ensure that I had sufficient battery power to complete my review. - GPS/GLONASS with optical flow. Highly stable hover, and automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low battery. - Camera with SD card recording. Camera lens can be remotely swiveled 90 degrees from level to full down. Records video to card at 1080p resolution at 25 frames per second. Also records 1080p still photos which are frame grabs of the video. - Maximum FPV video range with my phone of about 300 meters. Line of sight control range of the transmitter is much greater at close to 1000 meters. I got out to over 700 meters before I brought it back with automatic return to home and landing. - 7.6V 3000mah battery provides approximately 17 minutes of flight time. - VS GPS app provides in flight FPV video viewing capability to your smartphone, along with advanced flight control features such as circle position. App may be downloaded on Google Play here http://bit.ly/VSGPS-Play and the App Store here http://bit.ly/VSGPS-iOS Cons - Drone and app requires 802.11ac WiFi to view FPV video, and use advanced flight control features. Not everyone has a phone capable of 802.11ac WiFi. It is very important to first verify that your phone has 802.11ac WiFi, or you may be very disappointed. - There are a lot of issues with the Android version of the VS GPS app (I have not tried the iOS version, so can't verify if it has the same issues). These Issues include extreme lag and WiFi frame dropping, even at close range. inoperative follow me and waypoints features, inoperative telemetry information on app (although telemetry information is correctly displayed on the controller), and no as advertised 4K capability (photos and video are both recorded at 1080p, both on SD card and via WiFi to your phone). - Although the camera appears to provide true and very sharp 1080p video, there is plenty of jello in this video. Also noticed was frame dropping on the video recorded to the SD card. Keep in mind that I was using a quality 32GB U3 card. Not sure why I experienced recording issues?
